In 2006, I took two ceramic classes at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida to finish my BFA Computer Animation degree at the Ringling College of Art and Design. It was then that I fell in love with the ancient art of pottery throwing. I wanted to do more, and also document my journey. I purchased the domain name as a play on words, I have always had very long hair and I love Harry Potter! At the same time, I started using my HTML knowledge that I had learned at Ringling to write websites for myself and family, and my first business websites for outside clients. The Hairy Pottery was my first site on my own webspace through HostGator. I decided to keep the name as the main engine for all the sites that I have designed for organizational reasons, and I just really love the name! |
